Millions of people die each year as a result of soot or smoke inhalation from wood-burning cookstoves. Since 2012, students and researchers from MIT D-Lab have been working with TEWDI Uganda, a local NGO implementing development programs in Teso Region and other parts in Eastern Uganda. This video illustrates the manufacture charcoal briquettes that produce a cleaner burn, minimizing these health risks.
